Happy Earth Day 2017!

Happy Earth Day 2017!

With our emphasis on bringing pure, natural & organic treatments to our clients, Spa Cloud is an obvious supporter of Earth Week. This annual event serves as a reminder that we are all responsible for the condition and well being of the planet. Natural disasters, deforestation and a growing list of endangered species are only a few of the reasons why this particular campaign is so important.

Montreal, like many other metropolitan cities around the world, has marked Earth Day as a day to promote environmental & climate literacy. With a large list of activities planned around the city, we have compiled a short list to help guide you to a fun and educational Earth Day.

Les Fêtes de quartier

Spread out in different Éco-Quartier centres around the city, each one has prepared different programs to entice every nature lover. With activities such as second hand bike sales, tree & seeds distribution & markets filled with local organic farmers, this is definitely one worth checking out in an Éco-Quartier near you.

Earth Day at the Redpath Museum

Ever wondered what it takes to be an expert in natural history? The Redpath Museum offers a public discussion from a young naturalist to reveal the secrets of his field. And while you’re there, feel free to browse through the many exhibitions they have currently including dinosaurs, shells, mummies and a wide variety of Quebec minerals. Free entry (donation welcome) and suitable for ages 5 and up.

Free Tree & Compost Material Giveaway

If you live in the city of Pointe-Claire, there is a major distribution of trees & compost materials happening on Earth Day. You can contact them to make a reservation or show up between 8am – 4pm at Terra-Cotta (50, avenue Terra-Cotta, Ville de Pointe-Claire H9R 5A4) to take part in the giveaway.

The Montreal Botanical Gardens

If you haven’t already visited the “Butterfly Go Free” attraction at the Montreal Botanical Gardens, this is definitely one not to be missed. Available until April 30th, make sure to go and enjoy standing in the midst of 2 000 butterflies ranging from 50 – 75 species.

For those who still wish to experience nature yet seeking some repose as well, we are happy to join both elements together by offering any of our organic facials, body wraps or simply a soothing massage using our organic massage oils. Our setting inside the spa is entirely nature inspired, from our living wall of plants in the sitting area to our reclaimed wood ceilings, we know how being in nature has soothing and relaxing effects and this is why we have infused those elements into every corner of the spa.

Pay us a visit to experience relaxation in the most green and natural spa setting in Montreal. We’d love to celebrate Earth Day with you – call to book 514-773-2568
